Vanguard Property Services Limited was founded in 2011 by Uncle and Nephew and long term business partners Mr Jordan Charles & Mr David Drysdale. The formation of the business came as a natural progression from close family ties to a successful property development partnership which saw the pair build a healthy portfolio of modern and contemporary spaces within older, period style properties on behalf of an array of clientele.
Mr Charles boasts an architectural and project management background built over 7 years plying his trade at one of the country's largest commercial construction contractors following his graduation from Kingston University School of Architecture and subsequent construction project management Masters' degree achievements.
Prior to his relocation to Melbourne Australia in 2013, Mr Drysdale (or Uncle David as he's better known on site) hailed an impressive 12 years of construction and building maintenance management experience having plied his trade from apprenticeship level with another household name within the construction industry.
Mr Drysdale currently heads the Vanguard International division focused on the development of new concepts and technologies in Japan, China, and other developing technological hubs in Australia and the Far East.
The birth of Vanguard Property Services coincided with a dramatic turn in the construction and property development industries - as the markets slowed following economic uncertainty and tighter controls over borrowing were introduced, the number of buy-to-let property investors and would-be second time buyers reduced as homeowners instead began looking to improve, extend, and convert their existing properties - many under the recently introduced Permitted Development laws brought in by government to relax planning regulations on smaller projects. Thus, enabling homeowners to add value and space without going through the usual rigmarole of applying for planning permission.
